5 DAY SINGING COURSE FOR THE YOUNG SINGER
FIVE DAY COURSE DESCRIPTION
This is a 5 Day Course designed for the Young Singer ages 7-17 years. Each class runs for 60 minutes. Students will be taught vocal exercises related to the song they will be singing each day related to the specified genre: Broadway; Disney; and Pop. Students also work with stage movement, and receive some individual attention. The course is designed to be progressive starting with the basics in Vocal Technique to more Advanced techniques: Diaphragmatic Breathing; Vocal Projection; Vocal Range Increase; Diction; Belting; and Blending Vocal Registers. In addition Students work on various aspects of Performance and Holistic Development: Confidence Building; Self-Expression; Stage Etiquette; Character Building; Stage Presence; and Audience Connection. Also students participate in the END OF COURSE IN-CLASS PRESENTATION and receive a CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION.

Vocal Technique Workshop for Singers are for ages 18 years to adults, and are designed for Singers-Actors-Dancers-Speakers-Choirs with focus on specific areas of Vocal Technique, Holistic Development, and Performance, and its application to ANY Genre of Music but more specifically to Musical Theatre, Disney, Pop, Rock, Bollywood, and Western Classical. These workshops are for students from the Beginner to the Professional level.
SPEECH WORKSHOP
FOCUS: Speak with Elegance & Finesse
Vocal Technique for Executives & Speakers
Vocal technique Workshop for Speakers is designed for those who want to learn to project their voices, reduce their accent, maintain vocal health, and speak with elegance and finesse! Students learn correct vocal technique to improve vocal resonance, speak with clarity, and reduce accents. Students MUST bring in a Speech / Monologue, memorized, and no longer than 1 minute in duration for coaching. There is no guarantee that every student will be coached but be prepared to be called upon. There is a total of 8 coaching slots available on a first come first serve basis based on registration deadline.

Vocal Technique for the Singer/Dancer
This workshop is for the SINGER-DANCER interested in developing singing technique enabling him/her to sing and dance with ease, to be able to project their voices, sing with clear diction; and not run out of breath while dancing. This Workshop runs for 3 hours. Students will work on diaphragmatic breathing; vocal projection, and diction. Students will be taught vocal exercises related to the song they will be singing, stage movement, choreography, and will receive some individual attention.

Vocal Technique for Choirs
Choral Workshops are designed for choral groups interested in working on their vocal technique. The session runs for 3 hours. Students will work on diaphragmatic breathing; vocal projection, and diction. Choirs must prepare 1 piece they would like coaching on. Chorus director must send in the music in advance as a PDF. Choruses must sign up for coaching, and chorus director must be present. Each Chorus will be coached for not more than 20 minutes. There is a total of 4 coaching slots. Each choir is to bring their own accompanist.

Vocal Technique for Emerging / Professional Artists
This workshop is for BOLLYWOOD Back-Up singers. Students will work on both Western and Indian vocal technique to include Western and Indian scales; diaphragmatic breathing; vocal range increase; and vocal projection. Female students will work on Ajeeb Dastan Hai Yeh from Dil Apna Aur Preet Parai, and Male students will work on Jee Le Zaraa from Talaash.

As a group, Students will work on diaphragmatic breathing, and lower larynx singing with the use of relaxing, breathing and vocal exercises. Students are expected to bring in one piece to be coached 1-on-1 with Deirdre. There is a total of 8 slots. Each student will coach for not more than 15 minutes. Students must bring in their own accompanist. In addition they must have a copy of the sheet music for themselves, their accompanist, and for Deirdre. Pieces to be performed from memory. Even though there only 6 slots, students are welcome to observe and stay from beginning to end. Students wishing to be coached must sign up in advance. Slots are on a first come first serve basis.

Students will work on vocal technique as a group and concentrate on correct breathing, the use of belting, blending the voice, and the effect it has on vocal range increase. Students will also learn how to blend the head and chest registers. Students are expected to bring in one piece to be coached 1-on-1. There is a total of 6 slots. Each student will coach for not more than 15 minutes. Students must bring in their own blue-tooth speaker and karaoke track. Pieces to be performed from memory. Even though there are only 6 slots, students are welcome to observe and stay from beginning to end. Students wishing to be coached must sign up in advance. Slots are on a first come first serve basis.
